A broad range of dining options are available on St. Croix from traditional island cuisine, to Chinese, from regular fast food restaurants like KFC, MacDonald's and Pizza Hut, to very fine dining. The following pages list many restaurants for you to choose from. If you are staying at a private villa you can also have The Lobster Reef Cafe, Ambrosia Personal Chef Service or Amorella Archibald cook for you at the villa or prepare your meal and deliver it all packaged and ready to heat up!

Antoine's – Continental cuisine and much more, This restaurant has moved from downtown to a beautiful new location in the Golden Rock area west of Christiansted at Mill Harbour condos. It right on the beach! Chef Tony Doos offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day or night you will find this a pleasant spot. For breakfast try one of a multitude of omelettes, or the house favorite, French toast with bananas and whipped cream. For lunch, soup, salads and sandwiches or try West Indian specialties, all served until 9PM. An early bird home-style dinner priced at $8.50 is available from 5:30 to 7PM. A daily list of dinner specialties is served until 9PM. On Fridays try the traditional barbeque, on Saturday its alpine night with Swiss/Austrian/Italian favorites. Thursdays its Cajun night with crawfish and jambalaya and Tuesdays its Latin night with roast pork and arroz con pollo.

Bacchus - Steak and Seafood, Steaks and Lobster – Located upstairs in a historic townhouse in the heart of Christiansted. Recognized by Food & Wine and Wine Spectator, it has the largest wine selection on St. Croix. Hand-cut steaks to order and lobster headline the menu, accompanied by traditional, yet updated dishes like sweet-breads and oysters Rockefeller. Finish the evening with a great desert and French press coffee that can also be enjoyed in the billiard room.

Bombay Club - Steak, Chicken, Seafood, Pasta, and more (this is not Indian food as the name suggests) The restaurant is tucked away under the arched staircase of an historic townhouse on King street in the middle of Christiansted. The air-conditioned bar is a popular meeting place and a great spot to watch a game on TV. Open for lunch Monday thru Friday from 11:30 am to 4pm. Try entrees of chicken or fish as well as salads, sandwiches, home-made soup and several daily specials. Every day from 5:30 pm to 10 pm, appetizers and dinner entrees are served. Try roasted garlic with brie, conch chowder or cheddar nachos. Select dinner from the lunch menu for lighter fare or choose from steak, chicken, shrimp, fresh fish or pasta entrees.



Comanche – Continental West Indian specialties, A St. Croix landmark upstairs on Strand Street in the heart of Christiansted, easily spotted by the picturesque bridge spanning the street. Known since 1965 for its Casablanca ambience, this open-air unique establishment with a view from the deck has real island character, including peacock chairs and a loyal longtime wait staff. The lunch menu includes delicious curried chicken salad with fresh fruit, shrimp salad Louis, interesting soups, appetizers and sandwiches as well as hot dishes, both local and Continental, including a daily special. A favorite is the susu chicken curry in a fresh pineapple shell accompanied by a cart of condiments, also served at dinner. Fresh island fish and innovative entrees using island ingredients are always on the menu.

Dino's at La Strada Dinner - (Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays) - Strand Street in Christiansted. A Mediterranean Bistro. "Dino has been a chef on St. Croix for years. Some people may remember the small place on Hospital Street (which is now Savant), followed by several years at the Buccaneer. Those of us in town are thrilled to have him back. Great Italian and Mediterranean food. He bakes his own bread, makes his own fettuccine, and has some out of this world desserts. A great wine list too".

Fort Christian Brew Pub – Pub food, Steaks, etc. St. Croix's only fresh brewed beer! On the boardwalk overlooking the harbor. Mondays enjoy free draft beer with your steak dinner.

Harbormaster Beach Club, Beach bar and restaurant - At Hotel On The Cay in Christiansted, provides a quick escape from downtown for a relaxed breakfast or lunch adjoining a delightful sandy beach, or you can spend the day. Enjoy a full breakfast, swim and snorkel, then take a break anytime between 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for lunch with fresh local seafood, a burger, sandwich, or crisp salad platter any day of the week. On Sundays a steel band adds extra fun from 1 to 5:30 p.m. On Tuesday night there is a beach barbeque floor show - a feast of delicious roast pig. chicken, ribs, and fish buffet served from 7 to 10 p.m. as you watch limbo and broken bottle dancing, fire eating, mocko jumbie stilt dancing, and dance to the music of the steel band.

Kendrick's - Seafood, Meat, Pasta - is located in Christiansted's historic Quin house complex on King Cross and Company streets. For years a highly esteemed name among St. Croix restaurants, Kendrick's has reopened for the season with many old culinary favorites but also new innovations in chef/owner David Kendrick's award winning repertoire. Offering a choice of courtyard dining or indoor seating in the charming West Indian cottage, they are open Tuesday thru Saturday from 6 to 9:30 pm. Chose from an assortment of appetizers, pasta dishes, or delicately seasoned entrees of fresh local fish or a house specialty of duck, pork loin, and lamb. A fine wine selection by the glass or bottle.

Kings Alley Café – Seafood, Pizza - a relaxing place in the heart of Christiansted's shopping and action center at King's Alley Walk. Take a break for lunch between 11:30 am and 3pm Monday through Saturday; on Sundays, they feature a special Jazz brunch between 11 am and 2pm. Their menu choices are moderately priced. They feature seafood, cocktails and a large assortment of bar snacks for you to enjoy while watching a game on the big screen TV or while trying your hand at a game of pool. Dinners including a variety of pasta dishes are all priced below $12.50. They have steak, lamb and chicken also. Happy hour and pizza Fridays.

Paradise Café – Continental - On Queen Cross street just off of Compant Street in Christiansted, is a cozy air-conditioned spot for a reasonably priced breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails all quite good. They have an extensive menu. Breakfast from steak and eggs to omelettes to regular fare. For lunch they over thirty different sandwiches and burgers with fries, slaw, potato and macaroni salad or soup. There are also daily hot lunch specials. Dinner includes bacon wrapped filet mignon, grilled fresh island fish and a daily home style special; on weekends they offer specials including lobster when available.

Thai Garden - Located in the pink building on Hospital Street approaching East End Road, is a magnet for anyone with a taste for authentic Thai cuisine. In an attractive oriental setting, with a choice of air-conditioned or open terrace dining, Thai Garden adds some spice to your life with their extensive dinner menus. Open nightly except Wednesday, serving a variety of appetizers, soups and entrees, many modestly priced. Among them are fried rice and noodle dishes, vegetarian delicacies; also sautees, including curries and satays with a choice of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, squid, tofu and fish, served with steamed rice and soup of the day. Dinner is served from 5:30 pm. The extensive dinner menu of 69 items, from satay and fish cake appetizers, hot and sour soups like Tom Kah Gai, to the fried ice cream dessert you will find impressive. Popular entrees include five different kinds of curries, Thai fried rice, crispy duck, tropical bird’s nest, stuffed angel wings, whole fish, and vegetarian selections. Not everything is hot, hot — and their menu “thermometer” guides you to your preference.

St. Croix has some of the best golf courses in the Caribbean. Caribbean golf courses can sometimes be more of a "goat track" than true world class courses. Not so on St. Croix! St. Croix has two world class Caribbean golf courses, Carambola, an 18 hole Robert Trent Junes designed course and the beautiful 18 hole course at the Buccaneer Resort. If you don't have time for 18 holes you can try the 9 hole Reef golf course. St. Croix is a wonderful place to visit and play some rounds at a beautiful Caribbean Golf Course!

There is great horseback riding on St. Croix that allows riders of all ability to see Danish ruins, ride through a rain forest and other coastal areas.
