Located on Tortola, Capital of the British Virgin Islands
For travelers wanting a simple place on an island yet unspoiled, where they can swim, snorkel, scuba dive, sail and fish. Those who have such a modest goal should look up the little island of Marina Cay.
A unique, tropical eight-acre island, one of forty islands in the Crown Colony of the British Virgin Islands, Marina Cay is a peaceful retreat for those wishing to really escape. Completely surrounded by its turquoise blue lagoon and protective tropical reef, Marina Cay is completely private, yet is only a ten minute ferry ride to the main island of Tortola.
Casual Dining on the beach at the Pusser's Porch Grill with your choice of grilled lobster, fish, chicken, steak or the chef's special of the day. A Pusser's Company Store with a fine selection of Tropical & Nautical clothing for men and women, unique accessories and unusual gifts. Free Ferry to the Mainland: Just minutes away from the airport on Beef Island and shopping on Tortola.
For Visiting Yachtsmen: A Full Service Fuel Dock, providing ice, water, a laundromat, trash facilities and new bathrooms and showers. Secure Moorings in the quiet protection of the crystal clear lagoon. Some Marina Cay History: Originally inhabited occasionally by fishermen, in 1936 Marina Cay became the home of American author Robb White and his bride Rodie. He later wrote the book "Two On The Isle," which became a 1950's movie (and was actually filmed on Marina Cay) starring Sidney Poitier and John Cassavettes.
As a small resort, Marina Cay opened in 1960, and was recently renovated without losing any of its original charm and relaxed conviviality as an informal Caribbean inn. The hotel can accommodate only 16 guests in two types of units. There are two villas, each of which has two bedrooms and a sitting room. There are also four well appointed rooms. All of the accommodations overlook the Sir Francis Drake Channel and a dozen other islands providing a spectacular backdrop.
The island itself is a tropical garden covered with Frangipani, Almond, Flamboyant, Tamarind, Hibiscus, Oleander, Bougainvillea and numerous other tropical flowering plants. Dining is in the new open air restaurant on the beach. It is a casual experience featuring grilled and local dishes, including seafood, steaks, pastas and the chef's specials of the day.
This is water sports country, so most activities center around snorkeling, small boat sailing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sightseeing and inter-island tours. Rent a kayak, Hobie Wave catamaran or just spend the day lying on the beach. For those wanting to explore the pristine waters of the surrounding reef, SCUBA and snorkeling trips can be organized through Dive BVI, which has an instructor on the premises. Marina Cay has its own complimentary ferry service, and is just a 10 minute ride from the airport at Beef Island and the main island of Tortola.

Each of our Hotels and Resorts is different. Pusser's Fort Burt is in the heart of Roadtown, the commercial capital of the BVI. It is oriented towards the casual vacationer who wants to be at the center of everything, and it is ideal for the business traveler. And, of course, the adjacent marina directly beneath the hotel makes it a favorite stop for transient yachtsmen.
Pusser's Marina Cay is a vacation resort with all of the extracurricular activities that you would expect in our land of warm water and tropical breezes.
So, whether your need is for business confidentiality in a sophisticated, efficiently equipped hotel, a quiet romantic hideaway, or a renewing family vacation, Pusser's Resorts and Hotels offer an authentic and memorable Caribbean experience for the discerning business or vacation visitor.
Fort Burt is built on the site of an historic fort, built by the Dutch in the late 17th century. Fort Burt is the in-town romantic getaway for those who don't want to lie on a beach every day. There are no finer accommodations, nor none so beautifully situated and maintained near Road Town, as those at Fort Burt. Every room has a spectacular view of the sea. If you are a person who likes to move around on your vacation rather than spend it on a beach, or on the same beach every day, then Fort Burt is the ideal place because it is so central to everything of interest. There is easy access by foot or by taxi to the heart of Road Town, the library, the shops, the Botanical Gardens and the inter-island ferries. Although centrally located, it still remains hidden and private, sitting high on a hillock over the harbor, behind the trees and foliage of the hotel's grounds.
Pusser's Ft. Burt Hotel a romantic hideaway overlooking beautiful Road Harbor in the heart of Road Town, the capital. Within easy walking distance of everything: the ferries, shopping, excellent restaurants, eclectic night spots, marinas, and government offices. Communication facilities in each room make it the ideal spot for those who must stay in touch. The marina directly below makes it a convenient stopover for transient yachtsmen, or a jumping off point for day trippers to nearby beaches.
Pusser's Marina Cay for those who love water sports, especially snorkeling. The reef and warm, shallow waters of the lagoon are ideal for snorkelers and safe for families with small children. The seclusion is great for honeymooners, too!
