When you're looking for something a bit more unusual, check out The Barn Swallow on Hwy. 71 in Okoboji. This newly expanded shop contains the largest cache of wonderful and surprising selections in the area. You'll find beautiful rugs, napkins and tablecloths; unique jewelry, Okoboji T-shirts and sweatshirts for all ages; lamps, paintings and candles for the home; fun books and cards; and much, much more. Shopping for her? Be sure to include a visit to The Clothes Peddler, at one of two convenient locations­downtown Spirit Lake (winter) or Hwy. 71 and Airport Road (Sanborn Ave.) in Okoboji (summer). Christmas never ends at The Enchanted Oaks, whether you are looking for a special decoration or gift (even if it's for you!) Engaging displays of gifts are set in this quietly elegant atmosphere. Located in East Oaks Mall, on Hwy. 71 in Okoboji, across from Village East. Sugar Bear Crafts & I've Been Framed, another new shop in the upscale East Oaks Mall complex, is really two shops in one, specializing in decorative woodcrafts and beautiful picture frames. You can select the perfect frame for your work of art, or choose one of their pictures, already framed. The charming woodcrafts have utilitarian value, and many are decorated in country colors.

The best variety of shops and attractions, all under one roof, are found in The Central Emporium. You'll find shops for swimsuits, sweatshirts and cool shades, along with fine jewelry, decorations for your home and some things that are just for fun. You can sip on a cappuccino at the coffee house or enjoy a lakeside lunch, dinner or cocktail on the lower level patio bar, or have an elegant lunch or dinner with an unsur-passed view of the lake.



Stylish shoppers will want to make the trip to Kay's Beach Boutique in the Central Emporium. Kay's is home to the largest and most beautiful collection of swimwear and cover-ups for ladies and children in the lakes region. Their carefully trained staff will help you choose the swimsuit that's best for you. Between suit fittings, discover their fine selection of clothes for every occasion, as well as beautiful jewelry and accessories. Get your gourmet coffee drinks just across the hall from Kay's at Java Boji. They also sell ground coffees, fresh gourmet beans and gifts. For a great selection of men's upscale sport and casual clothes and shoes, shop at Expressions on the top floor of the Emporium.

You will find the antiques and the customers are well cared for at this individually-owned shop. The Cobweb adjoins Godfather's Pizza in Arnolds Park, across from Arnolds Park Amusement Park.

Gifts, collectibles, bent reed furniture, gourmet foods...all this plus a simply charming tea room make The Wash House and Annabelle's Tea Room a stop you just can't miss. The completely refurbished two-story gift house and tearoom are off Hwy. 71, south of Arnolds Park and Emerald Hills Golf Club.

The Okoboji Antique Mall features fine selections of collectibles from many vendors, all nicely organized in this clean and spacious mall. Furniture pieces, crystal and many patterns of dishes are a few of the antiques offered for sale. Okoboji Antique Mall is easily accessible with lots of parking. This mall is just north of Emerald Hills Golf Club, on the east side of Hwy. 71.

The Lakes Center Mall in Arnolds Park, is just one-half block north of the traffic signal on Hwy. 71. It has many conveniences for visitors. Bill's Food Center offers fresh meats, produce and everything a family needs for a great barbecue. Broasted chicken, sandwiches, beer, wine and liquor are also available at Bill's. Allan's Hardware Hank supplies all your hardware and houseware needs in addition to renting bicycles, selling fishing licenses and being a UPS shipping center.

Milford has so much for vacationers to do, you'll have to stop at least once. Shop, do your laundry, grab a pizza, get your groceries and pharmaceuticals­it's so easy and fun. You'll find The Three Sons a 'must see' on everyone's list, just one block east of United Community Bank. The Three Sons, the official University of Okoboji headquarters, has active and casual sportswear and outer gear for men, women, and kids of all ages. They carry Ralph Lauren, Polo, Nautica and Nike, to name a few popular brands.

They also have a nice selection of tennis shoes and Birkenstocks. Milford Pharmacy offers a complete line of gifts and cards in addition to all your pharmaceutical needs. Take in a movie at reasonable prices at the Milford Pioneer Theatre. Tom's Auto offers a great selection of used cars, trucks and 4x4's. Chuck's Auto Parts will have just the parts you need for servicing and repairing your car. Finally, don't forget the groceries at Buy Rite Food Center. Choose from their fresh bakery and deli selections, the complete produce, grocery and meat departments, or have them cook it for you to stay or to go at their in-store restaurant. They also offer a catering service.
