Through our comprehensive range of vocational courses, the Centre prepares candidates for dealing with a wide variety of incidents in the workplace, at home or while participating in sport and leisure activities.

Our courses are ideal for employers wishing to equip their staff with basic to advanced first aid skills. We train hospital staff, dentists, school teachers, publicans, youth leaders and office workers with all courses being approved by a National Governing Body.

All training is delivered by experienced paramedics and Ambulance Service approved trainers. Many of the qualifications are achieved through simple practical assessment without the need for examinations. Qualifications on offer include: One Day Appointed Person; Four Day HSE First Aid; Two Day Refresher; Defibrillation Training; Paediatric Life Support; Advanced Trauma and Spinal Management.

Lusty Glaze is a privately owned beach and cove on the outskirts of Newquay town centre. Its beautiful golden sands are sheltered by dramatic 200ft cliffs, offering an idyllic natural environment in which to learn new skills, experience the buzz of adrenaline activities or simply relax, sit back and soak up the beautiful atmosphere.

In recent years the complex has undergone extensive renovation and is now home to The Adventure Centre in partnership with Cornwall College.

The Adventure Centre at Lusty Glaze Beach was set up by a dynamic and highly qualified group of climbers, surfers and extreme sports enthusiasts who recognised the potential of their fabulous surroundings to provide exciting land and water based pursuits. It now offers a huge range of adventure activities to groups and individuals from the UK and around the world.

The Adventure Centre has a long association with education and our purpose built training centre enables us to offer a comprehensive range of vocational, first aid and rescue training courses to companies and individuals. Our partnership with Cornwall College has established a new and unique educational facility offering Further and Higher Education programmes for the outdoor environment.

Nestling in a sheltered cove and situated at the bottom of 133 steps, Lusty Glaze is one of the area's finest tourist beaches and Newquay's best kept secret. The stunning natural scenery is enhanced by sympathetically designed first-class amenities for your convenience and enjoyment.

The menu, is modern British cuisine with a strong Mediterranean influence. Lusty Glaze Beach offers a quiet, relaxing and convenient base from which to explore Newquay and the surrounding area. The beach is a short walk from Newquay town centre, the picturesque harbour and the beautiful Cornish Coast Path, which follows the cliffs above Lusty Glaze.

Our beach cottage and chalet provide totally unique self catering accommodation. Situated right on the beach, they boast fantastic views unrivalled anywhere in the UK. They are literally footsteps from the surf and in certain conditions the tide reaches almost to the boundary wall! Regardless of the weather, you will be perfectly placed for a relaxing romantic getaway, family holiday or activity break.

Both units sleep six guests and are stylishly decorated and fully equipped with modern appliances and comfortable furniture. The cottage has a small front veranda overlooking the beach and a small courtyard to the rear of the property whilst the chalet is equipped with an outside drying area.

Lusty Glaze Beach plays host to a series of annual events that attract visitors from around the world. We continually develop the programme of leisure and sporting events staged in our stunning natural amphitheatre so there is always something new to experience.

The Centre is also well established as a unique venue for private functions including weddings, birthday parties and business receptions.

One of the biggest and best beach parties of the year will swing into action when Lusty Glaze Beach hosts the Fat Face Night Surf.

While some of the top pro surfers in the country battle it out in the waves, spectators and visitors can enjoy the genuine good vibe at the beach. Live commentary and music from Small Wonder will help to raise the tempo of the event, while competitors surf into the night under floodlights positioned on Lusty's high cliffs.

The Adventure Centre will remain open for the duration of the event, allowing guests to try out a range of activities including the longest and highest zip wire in Europe. Meanwhile, a competitive volleyball tournament will be held on the beach.

But the main focus will be the surf contest, which is the first of four extreme sports events in the Fat Face Night Series offering a total prize fund of over £10,000. It is also the second stop on the British Professional Surfers Association (BPSA) tour. It is the fourth year that Lusty Glaze has hosted the Fat Face sponsored contest, which has become one of the most prestigious and best-attended events in the surfing calendar.

While Fat Face is the principle sponsor, Fosters will ensure a flow of beer for the party and Freerange Sports Optics (FSO) will award a cash prize for the best floater of the competition. Once the winners have been announced, the event will be rounded off with a spectacular fireworks display to light up the night sky at around 10.30pm on Saturday.

The hugely popular Beach Rugby festival at Lusty Glaze promises to be bigger and better this year. Many local rugby clubs have entered teams in this year's tournament and they will compete against teams from across the country. Thousands of spectators are expected to watch the sporting action, while enjoying live music and fine food and drink at the scenic Cornish beach. The event is the last in the national Beach Rugby Series, which has been played out across the county this summer. The Lusty Glaze event and the Beach Rugby Series is supported by the Rugby Football Union (RFU), which is promoting community involvement in the sport. Players will receive inspiration from the Rugby World Cup (Webb Ellis Trophy), which will be on display at Lusty Glaze over the Bank Holiday weekend. The weekend will be rounded off with a firework display at 10.30pm on the Sunday evening. We hope to see you there.

We have superb facilties on site which enable us to arrange bespoke packages to meet your requirements for the day. The Lusty Glaze Restaurant & Bar specialises in modern British cuisine with a strong Mediterranean influence and is the perfect place to unwind after a day of activities. As well as freshly prepared dishes in the restaurant, staff can organise beachside BBQs, which are always popular with groups.

Our Schools Groups enjoy an extensive range of fully instructed outdoor activities during which we ensure the focus of their experience is challenge, education and above all FUN!

Our partnership with Cornwall College represents an innovative private/public sector alliance with the added benefit that our documentation, policies and procedures (eg. Education Risk Assessments) are compatible with other educational establishments.

All our instructors are fully qualified and have comprehensive experience of dealing with children of all ages. We are also licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) which recognises our compliance with nationally accepted standards of good practice.

At The Adventure Centre we provide an huge range of courses and activities specifically tailored for young people, including: First Aid and Rescue Training, Outdoor Adventureand Extreme Sports.
