The Kid's Krew and Kid's Night Out programs give parents the opportunity to enjoy a romantic dinner or daytime excursion while the kids play games, create arts and crafts, watch movies and participate in pizza parties tailored just for them.

Kid's Krew - The popular Kid's Krew program is available for children ages 5-12 during spring break, selected holidays, and from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Kid's Krew participants enjoy arts and crafts, games, sand castle building, trips to the Gulfarium marine attraction, bowling, swimming and other exciting activities. Special Kid's Krew T-shirts and lunch are included in the program fee.

Kid's Night Out - Children who prefer pizza and movies to escargot and filet mignon by candlelight can find adventure during the Hilton Sandestin's Kid's Night Out program, available in season and holidays, Monday through Saturday, from 6 to 10 p.m. During their own special evening, kids see age-appropriate movies and participate in arts and crafts activities, games, putt-putt golf, roller-skating, and swimming, etc. A complimentary T-shirt and dinner are included.

Child Care - In addition to special programs for children, our Activities Coordinators assist guests in finding childcare services during their stay. All sitters are employed by an outside agency, which is licensed and bonded.

Destin, called "the world's luckiest fishing village," has some of the finest fishing on Florida's Emerald Coast. The Gulf of Mexico, numerous freshwater lakes, the Choctawhatchee Bay, and rivers leading off of the Bay provide a multitude of sites for both freshwater and saltwater fishing year-round in Destin and the Beaches of South Walton. In fact Destin is famous for having the largest, most elaborately equipped charter boat fleet in Florida. During the month of October anglers from around the world compete in the famed Annual Destin Fishing Rodeo.

Freshwater fishing yields bass, bream and catfish; while saltwater fishing yields such catch as flounder, grouper, mahi mahi, amberjack, triggerfish, cobia, and red snapper. The Gulf is also noted for its abundance of big game fish, such as sailfish blue marlin and yellow fin tuna. Charter fishing trips are available through the Baytowne Marina at Sandestin and through private charter services at the Destin Docks. Our Activities Coordinators or Catering Managers are available to assist you.

Sandestin is a tennis lover's dream, if tennis is your game, come outside and play at Sandestin! Whether you prefer clay, hard or grass court surfaces, Sandestin has a program to fit your needs. The Bayside Tennis Center features eight hydrogrid clay courts (four lighted), two natural grass courts and three hard courts. The hydrogrid courts are on the cutting edge of clay court design, allowing quicker post-rain play and underground watering from conservation and continuous use. A certified staff of teaching professionals offers a very conventional, yet insightful approach to improving your game.

In addition, the state-of-the-art facility includes an excellent clubhouse complete with dressing rooms, lockers, showers and the latest styles in tennis apparel. The Bayside Tennis Shop is the largest tennis specialty shop in Northwest Florida, with the latest in men's and ladies' tennis apparel.

The beautiful blue-green waters of the Emerald Coast have been called a recreational paradise, and the Hilton Sandestin encourages you to get out and make the most of the wonderful, tropical Gulf of Mexico marine environment. There are numerous activities available nearby, including snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, sailing, jetskiing and fishing. Set sail aboard a luxurious yacht or bring the family along for a day of fun on the Choctawhatchee Bay. Boat rentals of all shapes and sizes are available; as well a other recreational water vehicles such as waverunners, jet skis and kayaks. Our Activities Coordinator can make all your arrangements.

The Emerald Coast boasts some of the best snorkeling locations in the world, whether at the water's edge or further offshore at the famed Sand Dollar City, where beautifully colored and unique marine life are found in abundance. Diving in these crystal clear Gulf waters is a pleasure due to numerous fascinating shipwreck sites and natural and artificial reefs. Timber Hole is a popular diving spot, with its amazing petrified underwater forest where lobsters, sponges and sea squirts reside, among other interesting species.

One of our most popular activities is golf. Our 73 holes of championship golf rated Meetings and Conventions magazine's "Gold Tee" Award. You will discover exceptional play with new courses to try in addition to the outstanding facilities that have made the name Sandestin synonymous with great golf.

Burnt Pine Golf Club - Legend has it that, over 130 years ago, a Scottish sea captain buried a treasure chest at the base of a pine tree charred by lightening. Shortly afterward, his treasure was lost when a fire hid his landmark among hundreds of burned pine trees - hence the name Burnt Pine Golf Club. Today, this Rees Jones-designed course features tumbling fairways and undulating greens that meander their way through wetlands, marshes and towering pine forests. Stretching nearly 7,000 yards from the championship tees, Burnt Pine is ranked as one of the top 30 courses in Florida by Golf Digest and called the "Crown Jewel of Florida Golf" by Golf magazine.

The Links Course - The Links Course is a meandering expanse set against the backdrop of the Baytowne Marina and Choctawhatchee Bay. This course is designed to challenge your game as well as your ego. Designed by Tom Jackson, the course winds its way through numerous marshes, and over a third of the course plays on or near the Bay. Careful judgement and strategically placed shots are musts with the added element of changing Gulf Coast winds. The Links is consistently ranked as one of the most challenging, fun courses in Florida.

The Raven Golf Club - The Raven Golf Club at Sandestin, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., is among the finest golf courses in the region. The Raven weaves its way through Sandestin's wetlands, marshes and thick stands of pine trees and features, according to Jones, Jr., "a run of some of the best par 3s, 4s and 5s in the Southeast." The Raven measures 6,900 yards from the championship tess, play to a par 71 and features water on 11 of its 19 holes.

The Dunes Putting Course - Another exciting addition at Sandestin is The Dunes, a uniquely designed 18-hole contoured putting course now ready for play for skilled golfers, novices and the entire family. The putting surface is a unique sand-filled carpet that closely resembles the "feel" of putting on a natural surface. For example, many holes feature a "break" that will affect the direction of a moving ball. Par on the course is 51. There are holes with pars of two, three and four. A six-shot maximum is in effect to maintain the speed of play.

Our most spacious and accommodating facilities are on the Lobby Level just steps away from the beach, golf courses, swimming pools, spa, fine dining and other resort amenities, offering you unlimited flexibility when planning your event.

Boardroom - Get down to business in the comfort of Hilton Sandestin's Boardroom. It is conveniently located on the Lobby Level in close proximity to the Emerald and Coral ballrooms. With reception room for up to 60 people, the Boardroom provides a 30'x17' space that seats 14 for a conference. The Boardroom offers versatility for hospitalities or receptions for up to 60 people with its kitchen, restroom and comfortable chairs and sofas for relaxing and socializing. This room features rich, elegant furnishings and décor. The Boardroom opens to two balconies.

Coral Ballroom - The beautifully decorated Coral Ballroom offers flexibility for meetings, banquets and/or receptions. With 14-foot ceilings and breakouts to four separate sections, this room is perfect for meetings from 25 to 400 people. For elegant banquets, the Coral Ballroom offers sections A-D with reception room for up to 700 attendees.

Courtyard - The Courtyard is a beautiful, relaxing setting for lunches, receptions and/or dinners. This patio area, located just a few steps from the hotel Lobby, offers flexibility for meeting planners to plan an outdoor lunch where the meeting attendees can get refreshed and re-energized for their afternoon sessions. It is a relaxed and fun venue for any event. The Courtyard is a perfect, beautifully landscaped gathering area for cocktail parties, buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Situated adjacent to the East Tower, it is the poolside venue closest to the meeting rooms.

Emerald Ballroom - Meeting planners are excited about the recent changes made at the Hilton Sandestin. Included in the $48 million renovation project is the much-anticipated addition in 1998 of the exquisite Emerald Ballroom. You can host an unforgettable event on a grand scale in the Emerald Ballroom, which offers 10,000 square feet of beautifully designed meeting space, divisible into five separate sections. This room with beautiful lighting ambiance is perfect for receptions and/or dinners, yet also offers state-of-the-art technological facilities with full lighting for meetings or seminars. The Emerald Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 guests for receptions. With 16-foot ceilings, this grand ballroom offers accommodations for high-tech meeting sets, elegance for hosting banquets or receptions and flexibility for smaller, more intimate breakouts.

Emerald Ballroom Grand Foyer - Begin your evening in style with an opening night reception in the Emerald Ballroom Grand Foyer. The Grand Foyer provides a spacious and elegant pre-function area for group meetings of up to 840 guests. This versatile space can be used for receptions, continental breakfasts, breaks and/or registration. The Grand Foyer is an open and airy space just outside the Emerald and Coral ballrooms with easy access to the Business Center and Convention Registration/Information Desk.

Convention Registration Desk - Conveniently located in the Emerald Ballroom Grand Foyer, this built-in registration desk has architectural appeal, but its function is the key. Spacious counter space, computer hook-up access and lockable closets and cabinets help to ease the planner's stress and mess for greeting guests and giving them all their info during their convention or retreat. With a satellite link to the Front Desk, this area is great for remote hotel check-in. It is also used for a group registration area. The Convention Registration Desk is within close proximity to our Business Center and meeting spaces.
