The Glücksburg moated castle in the far north is considered the “cradle” of almost all European royal families. The four-masted barque Passat, sister ship of the sunken training ship “Pamir”, is firmly moored in the south-east of the country, on the quay of the Travemünde harbor.

The route leads through the idyllic Angels landscape to the cute little town of Kappeln an der Schlei. Incidentally, the ZDF television series “Der Landarzt” was filmed there. The sailing regattas of the Kiel Week take place here every year. A little further, in Kiel-Holtenau, it goes over the Kiel Canal and on to the state capital.
