Mansfield History

Mansfield is a city located in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Ohio, in Richland County. The area was originally settled in the early 1800s, and the city itself was founded in 1808. Mansfield played an important role in Ohio's early history, serving as a hub of commerce and transportation.
