Located at the northern end of the Fassa Valley, right next to the border with Veneto, in a splendid valley, nestled between the main Dolomite groups, Canazei is one of the best known tourist resorts in the Alps.

Although not the largest, with the hamlets of Gries, Alba and Penia Canazei is the capital of the Val di Fassa and is one of the 18 municipalities that make up Ladinia; in fact, in addition to Italian, Ladin is also widely used as an official language.

Canazei is summer and winter. If during the winter season snow and skiing reign supreme, in the summer it is possible to enjoy excursions among postcard landscapes, high-altitude trips, colours, sounds and flavours. There are many leisure infrastructures available to visitors: from gyms to wellness centres, from sports and leisure facilities to the large swimming pool, all of a high standard. The offer is completed by the typical colored houses of the town center, accommodation facilities suitable for every type of need and the remarkable gastronomic quality.

In winter, Canazei offers 4 districts, easily reachable from the town, included in the Dolomiti Superski offer, one of the largest and most spectacular ski carousels in Europe. Skiing and snowboarding then, but not only: even cross-country enthusiasts will find numerous routes available to suit every need and level of preparation. Without forgetting ski mountaineering, excursions and, for those who are passionate about them, top flight hockey. With its renowned ski schools and numerous support structures, Canazei offers snow suitable for every type of preparation, from large groups of passionate experts to families with small children.

The Val di Fassa Lift are situated in an area particularly peacefully and sunny about 200 metres from the centre of Canazei and a few hundred metres from the ski lifts of “Belvedere”, from which you can in a few minutes reach the splendid views of the Dolomites offered by Pordoi, from Passo Sella with it’s massive rocks, from the Marmolada with it’s glacier or the paths of Sassolungo. During the winter season the local have a free skibus service with busstop about 50’ metres away with the convenience of reaching the various ski lifts and to re-accompany you at the end of the day. For those who would prefer cross country skiing, only a few metres away from the local you find the ring shaped path of the Marcialonga: kilometres of slopes immersed in the silence of the mountains, covering the famous tracks of the international Trentino appointment for cross country skiing. Always a few hundred metres away the new ski lifts for the beauty centre DOLAONDAS: saline pools and reheated externally, solarium and wellness, water slides 110 metres long.
